"Providing sunlight in hospital facilities creates a green and sustainable hospital environment for both patients and employees. The recovery and mood of patients and employees are greatly influenced by sufficient amounts of lighting and color . Children's recovery process is different than adults. Children thrive for the interaction with people and playing. This thesis is focused on allowing patients to receive natural sunlight but using a shading device to cut back the harmful rays for cancer patients and to make a colorful and fun experience for children when they need it the most."
