"This thesis will analyze the effects of climate change on the movement of world populations and propose strategies for creating empathy for displaced communities among potential host groups. As the consequences of climate change begin to affect global society, affected populations will be forced to relocate and make a new home for themselves in new and already populated locations. These migrations will put tension on cultural systems and necessitate empathy for those forced to leave their homes in order to avoid conflict. 'This Place' represents a facet of a strategy designed to create an opportunity for understanding among cultures to grow."
