"This thesis will analyze five Broadway shows for content, form, and effectiveness for the purpose of understanding how content creators manage, meet, and exceed their audience’s expectation. Since 1943 audiences from across the world have enjoyed a unique style of storytelling known as musical theatre. From its beginnings in Vaudeville to the multi-billion dollar industry it is today, Broadway has transformed both within and without, by both creators and audiences. It is a form in constant metamorphosis and yet stays uniquely itself."
