"America has become an extremely consumerist modern society. We constantly need the newest thing. When that thing breaks we replace rather then repair. This is ever prevalent in the way we take vacations. We travel to places to enjoy that place, but we buy trinkets and memorabilia that aren’t produced there in hopes to remember the place. This thesis will carve a new path away from the consumerism we have become and into producerism (minimalism) that will help solve the constant need for importation of goods and creation of goods within the area."
