"The history of higher education has evolved through the centuries, building on developing theories, major historical events, and generational shifts. As Generation Z comes of age and begins their higher education journey, they arrive as true digital natives anchored by their traditional values. Their values harken back to the ideals of humanism, a philosophy that historically changed the development of higher education institutions. Both the values of Generation Z and the ideals of humanism are rooted in recognizing the value of realism, humans as individuals, and the collective of humanity. By drawing connections between the technologically adept Generation Z and traditional humanistic ideals, a new version of humanism emerges, and within the context of this new humanism, an exploration of what it means for the visual and experiential future of higher education can be considered." --Abstract
