"It is the aim of this thesis to study the manner by which various characters are incorporated into an ensemble cast, and how best to utilize said characters. However, the thesis does not focus on the technical writing of ensemble casts, but how their introduction affects the flow of the story. The thesis studies the three methods by which a newly introduced character can interact with an established throughline."
