Abstract: |
"Based on the affection shown toward new developments in multimedia, the artistic expression form of illustration has become more diversified. Animated illustration is an artistic expression form of illustration that can bring a new interactive and stereo artistic communication between the artist and audience. Popular software techniques enable artists to turn their still illustrations into animated illustrations whenever and wherever. Artists who have never been involved in 2D animation production may face some issues and confusion during the process of turning their still illustrations into animated illustrations, which may end up with the final versions not meeting their expectations. This book records the process of making a 2D animated short and shows how each shot maintains my illustration style. The first step includes analyzing my illustration style and developing the character design to be concise. The second step includes classifying the elements of each shot into the movement group and the still group to avoid confusion during production. The final step includes choosing the appropriate software to improve the efficiency of production." *Includes the author's original 2D animated short film "Leave me be!" about a misunderstood red dragon who just wants to live in peace. *Keywords: illustration, animated illustration, 2D motion, 2D animation production, character design |
