Abstract: |
"This thesis will analyze how a passive energy research center in Wuhan will promote the reduction of energy consumption in future trend of Chinese architecture. Chinese urbanization process has created the world’s fastest pace of urbanization in the past three decades. Chinese urban population has grown from 170 million people at the beginning of the reform and opening up to 710 million in 2012. Urbanization increased from 17.9% in 1978 to 52.6% in 2012.By 2020, China will become high-income country, and with such a growth trend, Chinese urbanization rate will continue to grow in the next 10 years, 20 years, to 75 percent and 80 percent. The proposal is to design a passive energy research center in China, which offer an opportunity to demonstrate the significance of passive energy."
