"This thesis is a collection of essays written within the span of my degree here at S.C.A.D. The essays in this collection are meant to serve as examples of the success of the writing program and my growth as a writer during my degree. With these essays, I hope to engage my readers with a range of quality works that both entertain and inform. The topics of each essay vary between socio-political inquiries to more personal observations, but are all within the genre of creative nonfiction. My aim for this collection is to give readers an insight into my thoughts and personal opinions, to reflect on some of the issues facing society, and to provide a window into the experiences that shaped me as a writer."
