This project seeks to expand the performance experience of the Savannah Civic Center and the area outside of the arena through the use of exterior lighting. This project attempts to enhance the visitor’s experience of space with the use of “Architainment Lighting.” The design is set on the site of the current Savannah Civic Center; in downtown Savannah, Georgia. This project’s quest is to reestablish the Savannah grid by re-habiting the location of Elbert Square, eliminating ground parking, and provide Savannah with a larger amphitheater that meets the needs of this growing city, while striving to honor Savannah’s history.
