Abstract: |
Historically it has been difficult to identify an inherent visual language that can be identified as being uniquely Venezuelan. This thesis will attempt to initiate a national movement to develop a visual language for Venezuela. A critical diagnostic on Venezuelan graphic design will be performed to identify causes for the perceived lack of a uniquely Venezuelan style. The history of graphic design in Venezuela will be examined along with the main influences and trends that have prevented the origin and development of an authentic national visual voice. |
