Abstract: |
This thesis is an extended artist statement in which I will explore what it has meant to be a digital painter and how being in an educational system that is still strongly driven by traditionalism has affected my work. I will also touch on how digital painting, specifically my work, pertains to the current and future industries of illustration. This thesis will also be discussing the role of fantasy and science fiction in my work, my influences, and how it has affected my educational career and my future plans to become an arts educator. |
