"This thesis focuses on exploring the background and needs of collegiate professors to create and inform the design of a shared consortium for promoting excellence in effective and collaborative education for the Atlanta professorial teaching community. The center will enable the creation of relationships for improving teacher education, professional teaching and student engagement, building a strong partnership among the urban school districts and nearby universities and education institutes. I will identify how interior design knowledge can be applied to design a flexible and collaborative learning space to recharge and empower the users, enhance teaching and learning, and increase social interactions. This study will acknowledge and celebrate the value of teaching and will improve teacher well-being and pedagogic performance."
