This thesis seeks to explore key elements of the concept of narratology and discern how the relationship between storytelling concepts shaped and varied in numerous animated short narratives by emphasizing each factor in narrative elements and aspects. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the theory and structural elements that are necessary for filmmakers in the field of animation to create fascinating stories. I intend on practicing this concept as a foundation for my animated short film by analyzing narrative elements on the basis of narrative theory and in turn creating a stronger fable.
