Abstract: |
"This thesis will design a visitor center with a traditional element in a historic district; it is a method that to improve the value of the old city, and also culture as an important role in the historic area that could control the economy. The sustainable development of the historic district is not only to do the conservation and renewal but also to solve the local problem. The contemporary architecture design in the historic sites are more focus on the protection and renovation of space, and also include the Chinese traditional structure. Following the city development, and also keep the Chinese traditional characteristics of the building. The education could help people to learn more information about Chinese traditional architecture, and give people some knowledge about preserving at the same time. The value of historic districts also increases when people touch the traditional local culture. Develop the local art is a good way to introduce the Chinese characteristics."
