Remains of the Arch of Septimius Severus. During Lauro's time, and until the 18th century, the arch was covered with debris and soil. Excavation of the Roman Forum began in the eighteenth century and the arch is considered to be one of the most in tact monuments. The verso of this leaf is blank. |
