Advertisement for Perrier French natural sparkling table water, 8 x 5 inches. In 1898, doctor Louis Perrier purchased the Les Bouillens spring in southern France. He operated a spa there and began bottling the water for sale. He later sold the spring to St.John Harmsworth, who bottled the water in distinctive green bottles and marketed it as "the Champagne of table waters." Perrier is now owned by Nestlé. |
