Due to the challenges that lie in the process of creating and reading pure visual narratives, comics without words never reach large audience comparing to its worded relatives. The current paper examines these challenges and shows how artists have been successfully overcoming them. It will be argued that, by mastering pure visual storytelling, artists can use wordless narratives to bring a wholly different narrative experience to readers. The goal of this thesis, therefore, is to propose wordless comics and its creative possibilities. Wordless comics does not only enrich and expand borders of the comic world, but it also has the potential to bring comics past linguistic and cultural barriers to become one of the most beautiful and powerful visual art forms.
