"Visual effects allows us to transcend the limitations of time. This thesis will let us observe how objects would rust at an accelerated rate using science-based procedural methods. Corroded, damaged and imperfect surfaces are key to any CG realistic visualization of a scene. However, the process surfaces go through to reach their current state is often overlooked. Visual effects allows us to re-imagine the changes an object’s surface goes through in a time-lapse."
