"Visual projections composed of motion graphics, live imagery, and visual elements on screen accompanying live musical performances display synchronization that is produced as analogue to the structure of music. The changes in visuals amplify the transitions in sound, allowing the audience to experience a mixture of sensations at once. They are immersed in the performance and open to existing in the spectacle, an experience parallel to synesthesia. Moments of spectacle occur when the performance creates anticipation of an emotional journey."
Includes short filmed display of custom-designed visual projections for Foo Fighters live music performance in Atlanta, Georgia, the goal of which was to "provide an atmospheric energy for the crowd as they entered the venue"--Thesis, page 24
