Abstract:	This written thesis is focusing on the comedy inspirations used in my thesis web-series "Grounds for Dismissal." It focuses on the television, film and cultural influences which guided my creation of various characters, story styling and setting structure. With emphasis on the successful episodes of programming which inspired my choices, I make direct parallels to parts of my own series as a choice of emulation in design.
