"Playing video game might be just an after-school or after-work activity for most of us. But for some people, this is their career. Playing video games is not only a part of entertainment, but it is also an emerging profession. Electronic sport, as known as eSport, is a type of game competition based on electronic platforms and has become a fast-growing industry nowadays, the rise of eSport create an opportunity for people who loves playing video game to turn their habits into their jobs. Service Dominant Logic allows us to look at eSport platform as a service and determine the key actors for each one of them. 'Most important among the extensions has been a general zooming out to allow a more holistic, dynamic, and realistic perspective of value creation, through exchange, among a wider, more comprehensive (than firm and customer) configuration of actors.' (Vargo & Lusch, 2015, p1). The research will be using professional eSport players' perspective to look at the eSport industry as a service and determine the differences between traditional sport and eSports' industries in the United States. The focus will be one the journey maps of both League of Legend (LoL) and National Basketball Association (NBA) players' career, to detail the differences in both support systems such as education and organization support, then determine the key elements that allows the major gaps between traditional sport and eSport players' income and post-career options and create the parallels with other professions that may be change by technology."
