Abstract: |
This thesis describes my somewhat haphazard journey into the world of art, the development of a product, and a plan to produce and market it. It identifies my early influences and my transition as an artist from complex monotone drawings to colorful, child-oriented work. My undergraduate training in graphics arts and imaging technology, combined with my graduate training in illustration, permitted me to apply my artistic talent and specific interests in a way that is financially self-sustaining and has the ability to benefit society by inspiring the imaginations of others. Keys to achieving my goals of artistic satisfaction and financial success are the working method I developed and the products I have recently created. |
