Abstract: |
"Rendering is one of the most significant processes of CGI production. Every render engine has its own characteristics and specialties which influence the final result of the film. Compared with real-time rendering and pre-rendering, there are some artistic impacts that could be affected because of the different principles of render engines, such as the render quality, lighting, textures, and visual effects. Eventually, those impacts could cause major differences for the final work. The ability to explore the differences in real-time between rendered and pre-rendered content could provide important insights for CG artists to better direct their films. To explore this concept, I will be developing a CG scene based on science fiction and divided into two parts with the purpose of highlighting how the render performance could be affected by artists under different render methods." --Abstract
