Most issues of Life had a theme that was introduced by the cover and reflected throughout the issue. While no official titled them for this issue, the cover illustration is of Santa checking the Bad Boys list.

The first part of the signature is difficult to interpret, but the last part appears to be + a.c.

Slightly small than quarter page cartoon. The world was becoming more cosmopolitan in 1913, and new dances were being introduced from various countries. One of the preferred venues to introduce people to new dances was the afternoon tea dance. Tea, coffee, and sometimes, champagne were served and guests would socialize and learn the dance. The most scandalous of these new dances was the Tango. The Pope and numerous clergy came out stating it should be banned, but it was very popular and the will of the people prevailed.
