This thesis focuses on how to increase minority students’ completion of academic studies after high school. The primary focus is on identifying key issues affecting this demographic, providing a comprehensive solution for them and introducing W.I.S.E, an education collective. The aim of this thesis is to highlight the ways an examination of literature and new media, in conjunction with community programming, can improve student completion of college alongside small business development, mentorship opportunities, and overall community sustainability.
