This thesis explores one of the present day film industry’s popular trends, the modern day adaption of a classic work. “Time Enough at Last” was chosen based on its cult popularity and classic themes of the apocalypse, loss of traditional values, and oppression. The set designs created will display contemporary problems of radically evolving technology and anxieties surrounding the anticipated end of the world. This is presented in detail through the concept development materials of script interpretation, script analysis, research, and design.
